Moon This month there...

This month there’ll be a graduation concert for senior students in my club. I’m supposed to either play or sing a song in there. I think I’m going to play a song for them. But it is my problem that I’ve been thinking about what song to choose, however nothing has dawned to me.

Graduation is one of the most important and memorable occasions in life. The music that accompanies it will often be remembered right along with the events of the day. If the song I’m going to play is perfect for the occasion and which I’ve been practicing for some time, it certainly becomes even more memorable and when they hear it some time in the future it will remind them of that special moment.

So, to celebrate their graduation as much as I possibly can I’m now carefully choosing a song to play so that I will see them welling up tears in their eyes lol

A song: Celebration of taking those great first steps into the wide world beyond school.

A song: Will be etched to their memories in years to come.

A song: Inspiration to spread their wings wide to the world of happiness and misery they are about to confront.

“Time of your life” by Green Day. Now I’ve had this song in my mind. It’d be nice if I could bounce some ideas off you in here.

Prison Break has been the...

Prison Break has been the most up-to-date drama that I have liked.

Prison Break is about that a guy, Michael Scofield, a structure engineer, holds up a bank to be imprisoned with a hope to help his older brother Lincoln Burrows, convicted of a mortal crime he didn’t commit, to get out of the prison and escape the death sentence.

Before Michael got in jail, he got himself tattooed with hidden information informing the way to break out of the prison. In spite that with such a high IQ and strategic thinking Michael had had every contingency as well as everything else mapped out to make the plan perfectly possible, once he finds himself inside the walls there are a number of things that block their breaking out; other inmates, officers, riots, fighting and more to mention a few.

While this is one story in Prison Break, another story is happening outside the walls. Lincoln Burrows was convicted of a crime of homicide for killing the vice president’s brother. Everybody including the courts at first believed he was guilty as the evidence was there. But with Lincoln’s claims that he was innocent and some discrepancy between what they thought was true and what really happened, not only Michael but Lincoln ’s ex-girl friend, Veronica Donovan, a lawyer, started to take some actions to find out exculpatory evidence to exonerate him. As Veronica tracked down the Lincoln’s case, something big behind the scene starts to move to hamper her from knowing the truth, even try to kill her.

Will Michael make it outside the walls with his brother? Will Veronica be successful in proving that he is innocent? Will there be no way for Lincoln to avoid the execution? You never know till the end.

Everything that is happening both inside and outside the walls is all ingeniously connected. All the actors are perfectly matched to their characters. Filmed primarily at a real penitentiary as well as structured as each episode has a part of the escape plan. Those things, I think, are contributing to its attraction of views’ eyes to an enormous extent. You can’t miss every single scene, for every single thing has a clue of what’s going to happen next. Once you start watching it, you can’t stop watching it in spades.

Ughh,,,I'm so full my stomach even hurts lol I had a nabe party with my friends today. I quite enjoyed eating it and drinking, chatting and everything else as well. Before I went to my friend's home where the party was thrown, since I was in charge of the Drink Committee, I had to buy some assorted kinds of drinks such as juice, tea and my most favorite beer too within 1500 yen at a supermarket nearest his house. After I finished shopping, I walked probably one kilometer long all the way from the store to his house bringing two heavy-looking, though were in fact heavy, bags with me, which ended up making me feel pretty much regretted I had made a decision like that lol

Everyone else was already there and started the preparation for it when I arrived. lol They know I am a sort of man who shows up late. (sry) Well, the preparation of nabe is not the one as you might be thinking, all you have to do is cut vegetables, meat and whatever you want to add, make your favorite broth and put 'em all in!

Here's a brief history of nabe. The habit of "sharing food" is not as old as we think. Nabe is such a revolutionary eating style that has been started in Edo era in Japan, prior to that people used to eat their own dishes each served on a small table determined by his social status. Even in family units, the food and how it's served varied among father, mother and children. If my memory serves me correct, it was a Buddhist monk who's invented the nabe style and widely introduced to supporters of his and the Buddhist temple's. Nabe can then safely be left to be unattended, making it a convenient cooking method. As a result, the easiest and most convenient eating style got to be known by so many people that it's spread throughout Japan, which produced various kinds of nabe characterized by the local and seasonal food.

Okay that's enough for the NABE history. As usually seen in a male-dominated country like Japan lol, guys almost completely got girls to cook and was waiting for it done. Althought it is, some including me helped them sometimes, but I sadly couldn't find myself be any of assitance to them. We (To be exact, Girls though hehe) actually made a found-anywhere variety of nabe, veggie broth, chiken meat, Japanese raddish, carrot, mashrooms and tofu. First, cut everything into bite size. Second, prepare the soup sweetened by a bit of suger and cooking sake. Third, put them all in. Only 3 steps to finish with little preparation lol  There is no such a set order for nabe recipe. You can do as you want. If there'd something you better follow, I would suggest that you put on the lid or paper lid will be an alternative unless you have the lid so that nabe simmers over and the ingredients start emanating and absorbing well-mixed smell and taste.

Yay, at last it's time to eat. It was DELICIOUS. I was like WOWed lol Eating with friends is so much fun and helps the taste better to an enoumous extent and me let the stress out. Really want to throw a nabe party soon again.

I'm not a nabe bugyou, nezz

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Northeast

Judging by how you talk you are probably from north Jersey, New York City, Connecticut or Rhode Island.  Chances are, if you are from New York City (and not those other places) people would probably be able to tell if they actually heard you speak.

The Inland North

Philadelphia

The South

The Midland

Boston

North Central

The West

I seem to, hmm less likely to have a northeastern accent according to this test lol

Well, I've never spent any time in any places listed up above, though I used to have a Japanese girl friend who had lived in NY for 6 years. Probably, this has a little to do with the result. You know what, I've got many American friends who've come to my university as exchange students. They tell me that I can hardly tell that I have a Japanese accent when I speak English. But, I still don't know what kind of accent "I" have.

Boat

Travelling.

Cross the ocean.

Cut yourself loose from a pretty mundane life.

In the pursuit of something more beautiful, something more exciting, and something more dangerous.

Never want all it be safe like every tourists.

Never resist the unfamiliar.

Even if it hurts, it's probably worth it.

They've got the goddamn same idea.

Travelling thousands of miles, watching TV, checking into somewhere with all the comforts of home.

You gotta ask yourself, what is the point of that?

Absolutely no idea of how you get there, how much you pay, how far you go.

None of that matters.

Do want to try to do something different.

Do not want to wind up doing the same damn thing.

All of that matters.

Find the moment, nezz.

have you ever tried being...

have you ever tried being on a diet before? did you succeed or fail?

probably those who have tried it once, several times for some people though, have got their own theories or ways that they think are effective to keep their weights. a couple of days ago, i was listening to a radio program about how to lose weight well. gotta tell you i am not fat or skinny type who's pretty much concerned about his weight, i just happened to tune in the program;;;;

anyways, the program welcomed a doctor who tells what we should and should not do in order to keep our weight healthy by answering the questions that most of the people who're trying to lose weight seem to struggle with. One question from a listener was that there are lots of ads saying, lose 10 pounds in a week or stuff like that, and she is worried about its possibility and risk at damaging her health when its actually done. the doctor said its possible, but definitely not safe, and additionally recommended that we should keep the weight-loss about 1 or 2 pounds in a week based on regular exercises so that we are gonna see the gradual weight-loss. If you get such a quick loss in a short term, you are much more likely to put on more weights than you actually have lost.

Another question was that you can see many items sold over the counter or on the internet that are labeled to seemingly help you lose weight, but do they really help ya and eating them means that you are getting what you need to be thinner? from one who is desperately in need of weight-loss-helper thingie lol the doc told NO and us to lose weight based on regular exercises, for instance joggin', yoga, or that you can find on TV after midnight watever you like to use, and to eat not such items but things that are high in protein.

One interesting thing that i found out from what the doc told us was that when you get so much hungry and a hunger pain in your stomach, it could be a sign of your thirsty. so, gettin' water instead of eating something might help you feel better and not gain unneeded weights.

u know, when it comes down to fat 'n things like that, NY has entirely banned restaurants and fast food restaurants from using TransFats. while we have been kind of addictted to dodging cholestereol, carbohydrates, pesticides, hormones, heavy metals, nitrates and salt in our food, we missed the artificial trans fat. I so damn love to eat french fries, (even if its so transfatted and makin' me much more vulnerable to obesity and heart attack. well i may die soon based on that diet lol) so thats why, people like me, considering from the eater's perspective, NY has banned restaurants from serving food containing artificial trans fats.

you know, when you go to a supermarket, and find two different kinds of cookies on a shelf, the one is labeld that this has no trans fats, its healthy food, but on the other hand, another is labled letting you know it has trans fats in its ingredients. Who ever picks up the one thats potentially make you fat? nobody sorry. but does this mean that  the trans fatted one should be taken out of the shelf becauses another non-trans fatted one is better for you? No. this whole thing just means that you have got choices. As it goes, in restaurants, you order something, and you get it served but you have NO idea if it has trans fats! By banning them from using trans fats, it never lets you have trans fats in the first place. Seems its more reasonable than labing every single dishes served in every single restaurants that this has trans fats and that does not lol

yeah They like Mayor Michael R.Bloomberg are protecting NYorkers from trans fats. Thats good. lucky you guys.

as always, i was hanging around on youtube, and came across one of the most famous oldies, " I need to be 'n love" by Carpenters. I surely wasnt born yet when this song was released, but it is still largely known as one of the best oldies from various artists. To me, although it sounds a little too old for our generation, the lyrix are really moving.

" i know i ask perfection of a quite imperfect world

and fool enough to think thats what ill find"

Karen, vocal in Carpenters, ive heard that she suffered from anorexia in the later period of her life. "I need to be 'n love" was written 'round the time when she was ill with anorexia, so as the part of the lyrics above say, i could feel her feeling deep in pain probably caused by anorexia.

Speaking of anorexia, i rememberd a news a couple of weeks ago that a Brazilian fashion model died from complications of anorexia. the death of Ana Carolia Reston, 21, follows growing criticism of the use of underweigt models in the fashion world. but 'n fact, Young models are coming from all walks of life dream and inspired by the internationally succeeded super models who are also super skinny looking'.

there's a picture of her mother, holding a picture of her daughter, saying "take care of your children, no money is worth the life of your child, not even the most famous fashion brand is worth this"

Anorexia, an eating disorder in which sufferers obsesively deprive themselves of food in pursuit of an "ultraslim look".

Reston weighted only 40 kg and was about 1.72 meters tall, which is about the weight normal for a 12-yr-old girl 'bout 1.5 meters tall.

i woke up a little earlier than usual this morning, wel its so unlike me though;;; and pulled open the curtain to find out a beautiful sunshine comin' down on me. it really bodes well for the day ahead.

like always, i turn on my computer, surfing around over a cup of tea 'n youtubing to tune in my fav music. that is, "How to save a life" by The Fray;;;; They are awesome. Kewl i love em.

this song has sumething sorrowing in its melody, since its ,however indirectly, singing 'bout the war in Iraq.

As this war has created something of a huge rift between iraq and the us, or could-be the world and the us, restroing relations to thier former state is a task of great urgency for the leaders or would-be leaders of them.

Obama 'n Hilary, would-be the next president of usa. either of them will be dealing with these complicated and tough situations well. but here'z one thing to remember all the time, as it also goes 'n this song, "where did i wrong, I lost a friend;;;;Had i known how to save a life" plz never to forget the lost of thousands of innocent people, and to lead america 'n the world in a right way. lol
